Notoriety Quests

Exciting stuff. Anyway, this is a pre-maint thread to let you all have a wee teaser as to what's in store for you later on! A new set of quests - if you hadn't guessed it yet - involving Notoriety are going to be implemented. These allow you to become famous or infamous as you will. However, be weary, once you have started out on your chosen path, it is very hard to change! Hence why this thread was made before maint; to give a very clear warning that once you begin down your chosen route, it will be very hard to back-track.

Unlike other quests, we will not be telling you where they are located in the maint thread; instead, there is a Journalist NPC in Prontera who will fill you in on the latest going-ons in Rune-Midgard. The more good deeds you do, the more famous you become, and the more bad deeds, the more infamous you become. Some NPCs will only speak to you if you're more good than evil, or vice-versa, though, so choose wisely!

And for the bit you all care about: rewards! The main rewards from the quests have never been seen before and, except on a few ocassions, character-bound. There's a twist, though. As your fame/infamy increases, your gear will power up/down, leading to exciting new possibilities!

Both ways will remain different, and yet balanced at the same time =o For example, if you're a sinx, you can still be a good assassin, same with a priest, you can be an evil one.
Of course, different quests/different items/different NPCs/different story lines, etc.etc. But at the minute, it's personal preference.

ps: are there going to be headgears and stuff for these too? aside of normal equipment/weapons or what? and are the headgears going to be more for looks or for actual use?

um also... with the whole ... not being able to talk to some NPC people if you go good/bad ... is that only the ones that are for the opposite side?
and is RRO actually gonna have a really cool story line? and are the quests gonna be difficult and the items or equips gonna be like... awesome head gears?

Lots of different things will be added, variety of gears (hats and weapons and armors alike), perhaps consumables as well.

Yeah, like if you are good you wont be able to interact with bad npcs, and vice versa, or your interaction will change. The story line is pretty fun so far, comes straight from the mind of Lux, what wouldn't be fun from there! Quests will be easy and hard, it changes.

So basically it doesnt matter what you choose? So like having like 100 Infamy will do he same as like 100 Fame just different rewards?
